Will certainly miss this dear lady. Such a sweet precious sole whose love was apparent in every act of kindness. God bless each and every person whose life she touched. She will remain always in our hearts. Her smiles and hugs were contagious and I am sure she is still wrapping her arms around all who she knew. Much love and prayers to all. Always here for you! Love you!

  Graveside services for Sara Neal Bappe, 76, of Zwolle, LA will be held Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. in Old Castor Cemetery, Castor, LA under the direction of Rockett Funeral Home, Ringgold, LA. Officiating will be Pastor Michi Head.

  Sara was born August 25, 1944 in Ringgold, LA and passed away December 18, 2020 in Shreveport, LA. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Zwolle, LA.  She was preceded in death by her parents, S.T. and Audrey Neal; husbands, Thomas Van Thurmon and Johnny Glen Moran; granddaughter, Carrie Leigh Thurmon; and two brothers, Jim Neal and Thomas Neal.

  Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Phil Bappe of Zwolle, LA; sons, Neal Thurmon and wife, Suzanne of Corpus Christi, TX and Christopher Thurmon and wife, Patti of West Monroe, LA; daughter, Kelly Thurmon of Zwolle, LA; sisters, Dorothy Cook of Shreveport, LA, Audrey Riser and husband, Gerry of Little Rock, AR, Linda Neal of Dallas, TX and Jackie Jacobs and husband, Jon of Houston, TX; 13 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.

  Pallbearers will be Brad Jacobs, Rodgest Orillion, Jonathan Johnson, Jacob Thurmon, Case Thurmon, and Brodie Thurmon.
