Sara Christine Sellards

Sara Christine Sellards went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 28, 2025. She is survived by two sons, Samuel and Joshua Bailey, and grandson Hunter Bailey, three sisters Nancy Anderes, Melinda Tichenor, and Starr Sellards, and is predeceased by her parents James Thomas and Elizabeth Sellards and sister Laura Prins.  Plus a large loving family of nieces, nephews and all the grands. Chris was born in Topeka, Kansas on July 25, 1946 and lived in McPherson and Gypsum Kansas before moving with her family to Tempe, Arizona. After graduation from Tempe High School she attended Northern Arizona University and later transferred to Arizona State University where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Education. Following that, she took off to work in California. First in San Francisco, then on to Hayward, teaching school and finally teaching at Fairview State Hospital in Costa Mesa, Ca. After several years she decided it was time to come home and teach in the Chandler Arizona school district, she received a Masters degree in Library Science and continued working in that capacity until her retirement. Chris had many talents, interests, and abilities. She was involved with her church, Bible studies, family, CASA, and the County Foster Children's Program just to name a few. She was loved by many and is missed by all of us, a gift we had for a season.
