My beautiful Aunt Sarah! She was always light, love, wisdom, kindness and a whole lot of laughter and fun!! And everybody knew that when you saw her she was gonna be one sharp dressed sista I have a lifetime of wonderful memories of my favorite aunt. We are all saddened by her passing. She was such an amazing and loving mother to all of her children. I send special love and prayers out to Gwen, Noonie and Don Earl (Mud) as they endure this time

Funeral service for Sarah Lee Baker of Athens, Alabama will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 12:00 noon at New Hopewell M.B. Church (11479 Dogwood Flats Rd, Tanner, AL 35671) with Rev. Larry R. Lockett, Sr., officiating. The body will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time. Interment and committal will be at Thatch Mann cemetery.
On Wednesday, December 3, 2025, public viewing will be from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. at the Peoples Funeral Home.
