Brooks88Santa Rosa and Guerneville Birth: Dec 28, 1937Death: Jan 23, 2026Sarah Brooks, 88, of Guerneville and Santa Rosa, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026.Sarah aka Sally aka G’ma Sarah was born and reared (as she put it) in San Francisco. Graduating from Lowell High School in 1955. Sarah moved to Sonoma County in the mid 1950’s and in 1965, became the Judicial Assistant to Sonoma County Superior Court Judge F. Leslie Manker after working for a local law firm for 3 years prior. That lead to 32 years working for several Judges in the Superior Courts. And that’s where she met her life partner John C. Chubert and they took care of each other until his passing in 2022. Sarah loved the ocean and the redwood forests and enjoyed history, railroading, and all types of needlework and sewing. Sarah is survived by Keith and Daria Schubert, Hilmar and Gina Schubert, Preston and Jannette Schubert. G’ma Sarah will be missed by her 5 grand kids, Jasmine, Sabrina, Johnna, Heather, and Doran.Services will be held Friday March 20th, 11:00AM at the Schubert family plot in the Guerneville Cemetery.
