Hello Lartz family, Sincere condolences from Theresa & Lynn Koch Belmont NC. As a classmate Scott was one of 40+ unique people in our class, all with different personalities and beliefs. My sympathies to the Lartz family. I was a classmate of Scott’s at Pearl City. In fact , his locker was next to mine all through our high school years. Scott was always very kind and friendly to me. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Scott's Obituary

Scott W. Lartz, age 59, of Pearl City, IL passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 at his home. He was born on October 30, 1962 in Freeport, IL to the late Austin and Betty (Imel) Lartz. Scott married Jeanne Hershey in 1982. Scott married Lisa Brady in 1986 and together they had a son, Ethan. Scott later married Luanne Slick on July 7, 1995 and they had a son, Tristan. Luanne passed away on March 21, 2017.

Scott was a 1981 graduate of Pearl City High School. He drove truck for Fischer Excavating. Scott enjoyed cooking and researching family history.

He is survived by his sons, Ethan (Paige) Lartz of Lanark and Tristan (Jessica) Lartz of Freeport; his grandchildren, Owen, Emily, Isla and Ivy Lartz; his brothers, Tom Lartz of Pearl City and Jim (Barb) Lartz of Lena; and his sisters, Marcia (Greg) Derrer of Lanark and Linda Broshous of Stockton. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Luanne; his brother-in-law, Robert Broshous; and his sister-in-law, Vicki Lartz.

There will be a graveside service held on Monday, April 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Clay Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
