Not sure what to say?

I met you at NICC. You went on from there to become a consummate professional in the IT industry.

Knew you for 20+yrs, but being 23yrs older, I never imagined having to write this.

You were a good guy. You are missed. Til we meet again.

Scott was one of my favorite people on twitter and instagram (later mastodon and bluesky). He was always unfailingly kind and supportive toward me, especially when I was struggling emotionally. Scott had a passion for social justice that resonated with many people, and he used his biting wit to punctuate his point. He was absolutely hilarious and sassy, and I admired the heck out of him. When he took it upon himself to learn piano awhile back, it inspired me to sit down at the keys for the...

Scott was intelligent and fiercely funny. He had amazing taste in movies too. While I just knew him via twitter, we had been mutuals for over a decade. I’ll miss him. So sorry for your loss.

One of the funniest people on a site filled with funny people RIP

we were friends on twitter, he was funny and sweet and will be missed. sending love to his family and friends.

I never met this man but feel like I knew him thanks to his profoundly human and funny Twitter presence. I hope he knew, and that his family knows that in a short time, he made a real difference in the world.

I'm also one of Scott's social media "friends" and have been talking to him about Alien, nin, ux, and leftist politics for years. He left a mark on me, an older guy who was just kind of a lib. His harsh sense of humor and big heart encouraged me to actually start caring about things again. His random replies to my random replies always felt genuine over the years, feels like so many years. I'm so sorry for your loss. Scott will be missed and give Tilda a big hug.

Scott was a consistent advocate for equity. He was thoughtful, smart and showed up with funny little quips all the time. I feel so lucky to have learned from him and will miss his presence.

I've known Scott on social media for over a decade through ban after ban, and although I eventually stopped making new accounts I've always treasured his effortless humour, genuine empathy, and sense of justice. His presence in our lives has left an impact on hundreds of people across the world, both close and distant, all with fond memories.
