Not sure what to say?

Uncle Scotty

I love you brother. I’ll know you’re watching over me. Your laugh makes me smile!

We miss all your crank calls and your silly jokes.. Always a good brother and uncle. You will never be forgotten. We miss you.

Gods beauty

You have a special place in my heart son . The beauty of heaven awaits.

We will meet you at the pool!

Scotty, you could float like nobody else :)

No parent should ever have to experience the pain of losing a child. My heart aches for you, and we hope you find strength in the love and support surrounding you.

Scott was loved by all of his family. My heart goes out to all of them. May God watch over him in heaven.

Scott “Scotty” William Rypka,28, left his loving and supportive family unexpectedly, on December 16, 2023.

There is a hole in our hearts that only Scotty could fill. His laughter was the best cure for all situations. He would hysterically laugh just trying to get out his own jokes, he could barely get to the punchline, before all around him would be roaring with laughter. We will never forget that joyous belly laugh and that kind sweet smile that would make you feel reassured that everything was good.

He grew up in Sebastopol, where he enjoyed playing basketball both at home, and on the multiple teams growing up, boy could he make those 3 pointers. As of recently he was living in Hidden Valley Lake with his parents after moving from Santa Rosa.

Scotty loved swimming at his Grandma’s house, where he perfected floating, which was much easier and enjoyable in his eyes.  His grandma would always encourage him to move his arms but he preferred to just relax and float. Scotty loved being surrounded by his family and having some good food and laughs.

Being an uncle was an honor and something he was very proud of. Scotty adored his four nephews and one niece. He was always concerned for their well-being, and wanted to know what they were doing, what they ate, if they slept, and if they were being good. He was very protective of them all.

Scotty leaves behind his Dad, Tim Rypka, Mom, Linda Rypka, his brother, Derek Rypka, sister in law, Tori Rypka, his sister, Alyssa Rypka, her partner, Josh Williams and his nephews Hudson, Watson, Waylon and Cooper and niece Blake.  He had a close relationship with his Uncle Wesley Estes and loved talking KISS music with his Uncle Jimmy Estes as his Aunt Cathy Estes listened in.  He will be missed by his loving Grandma, Barbara Estes and Uncle Gary Estes. He also has his Uncle Philip from New York and his Uncle Matt Rypka of Santa Rosa.  He will be missed by numerous cousins along with all who knew him.

A small graveside service will be held on Friday, January 5 at 11:00. All are welcome. There will be a gathering at his Grandma’s following the service for those who would like to join.
