Not sure what to say?

Janet, I am so very sorry for your loss. You had such a wonderful marriage and beautiful children. I’m glad you have so much family support to help you through this time of sorrow. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Jan,
We offer our deepest sympathy to you and your family. We wish we could be there for you, but we are in Arizona for Cole at ASU. If we can help, please let us know.

Our deepest condolences to the whole family!

I woke up this morning distraught. I cannot express the amount of gratitude I have for you. You were on me from the moment I played varsity baseball. Taught me, guided me, gave me so many lessons that made me better. In turn, you helped me get jobs, always reached out, engaged with my family when I left for college. I can’t thank you enough for all of it. You were a help to me all those years in HS and those years in being a reference for me in finding jobs. I will miss you my man. I hope...

Dear Sorell Family,
Our deepest sympathies to all of you. He meant so much to us and our boys. Best Coach our boys ever had during their high school years.
Hoping that fond memories can help ease the pain a little bit during this difficult time.
The Ellenbest Family

We are so very sorry for your loss.

SCOTT's Obituary

SCOTT CRAWFORD SORRELL, 64, of Westlake, Ohio, died unexpectedly on August 9, 2025.

Born and raised in Lagrange, Ohio, Scott carried with him many fond memories of his hometown and the friendships he formed there. He later made his home in Medina for many years before settling in Westlake.

Scott’s love for sports, especially Cleveland sports, was a defining part of his life. A devoted fan through both heartbreak and triumph, he was a Cleveland Browns season ticket holder, with his wife Janet, for more than 20 years.

As an educator, coach and father, Scott invested his time and energy into his players, his teams, and his family. Though prying a smile out of him was like pulling teeth, the smiles he did share were genuine treasures, small glimpses into a warm and generous heart.

Scott was a loving husband, father, and friend, who loved traveling, especially on road trips to Florida and Myrtle Beach with family.

Scott was proceeded in death by his father Frank and mother Elmira. He is survived by his loving wife Janet, son David Sorrell (Iryna), daughter Janine Sullivan (Nick), daughter Samantha Sorrell, daughter Stephanie Sorrell (fiancé Christian), brother Robert Sorrell (Carol), brother Frank and grandchildren Oliver Sorrell, Charlie Sorrell, Jameson Sullivan and Harper Sullivan.

Funeral Service Saturday, August 16, at 12 Noon in the CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of NORTH OLMSTED, 29150 LORAIN RD at STEARNS RD. where friends may call SATURDAY ONE HOUR PRIOR TO SERVICE. Interment Sunset Memorial Park. Memorial contributions are suggested to The American Cancer Society or the Parkinson's Foundation.
