Scott's Obituary

Scott R. Wedding, 67, passed away unexpectedly May 2, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was born to the late William R. and Eileen Wedding on May 26, 1957. Scott was the beloved husband of the late Teresa R. King; devoted father of Brandence and the late Stephanie King; cherished grandfather of Noah Wenzel; loving brother of Marc (Aida Rili) Wedding and the late June G. Hayes; dear uncle of Ryan and Shad Hayes and Cash Wedding; and treasured lifelong friend of Jerry Hof, Gary McIntosh, and Mike Maddux.

Scott exemplified the values of honesty and integrity throughout his life. During his time spent as a Boy Scout with Troop 382 he learned the importance of service and community, which he carried into adulthood. In addition to the Boy Scouts, Scott was raised in the Masonic Lodge 668 (Oakley) and was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was always working behind the scenes to make the lives of others better. Scott’s quiet strength and selflessness were evident in his life’s endeavors. He loved deeply and listened intently. Scott had a remarkable ability to make others feel heard and understood. His intellect shone bright in conversations and his insights were enlightening. Outside of his personal relationships, Scott was known for his competitive spirit. He was an avid dart player and golfer. He enjoyed friendly competition and was a compassionate player not fond of conceding. Scott will be missed tremendously by those blessed enough to have known him, though his legacy of love and generosity will not be forgotten.

A Memorial Gathering in Scott’s honor will be held on Tuesday, May 27th from 5:30pm until the time of Memorial Service at 6:00pm at Mihovk-Rosenacker Funeral Home, 5527 Cheviot Rd. (45247). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita’s School for the Deaf or the Parkinson’s Foundation.
