A Glimpse of Sebastian Lee Young's Life...
Sebastian Lee Young was born July 28, 1968, in Opelousas, Louisiana, to Janella Keller and Leroy Young. He is the oldest of seven children. Sebastian grew up in the South End Community of Beaumont, Texas, where he attended Dunbar Elementary School. At Dunbar is where Sebastian originally found his passion for football at an early age. He then moved on to attend Crocket Middle School, where he continued to enjoy his love for the game. Sebastian graduated from French High School in 1986. He was one of the football team's star players and went on to play in the Texas State Championship game in 1984.
Sebastian was an avid sports fan, with the New York Giants and University of Alabama "Roll Tide" being his favorite football teams. Sebastian was employed at the City of Beaumont for nearly eighteen years.
On June 27, 2022, at Harbor Hospice, Sebastian Young, 53, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away.
Sebastian is preceded in death by his father, Leroy Young; maternal grandparents, Hillary and Elrita Rainey and paternal grandmother, Olie Young.
Left behind to cherish Sebastian's memories are his loving and devoted wife, Pamela Young; loving mother, Janella Keller, and stepmother, Barbara Young; son, Jacolby Young (Angelica); stepsons, Mansontha Merchant Jr, Cody Merchant, Theron Zeno, Jr., and Terrance Randolph; daughters, Misty Young Lewis and Tenasha Young and stepdaughter Ashante' Powell (Micheal). Grandsons, Jacolby Jr, Noah, Brandon, Micheal Jr, and Cody Jr. Granddaughters Brook'ln, Channyn, Rhyleigh, and one to come; sisters, Gwendolyn Young, Rita Francis (Torrey), Deidre Williams (Kerry), and Deeleesa Young; brothers, Adrian Young (Christy) and Troy Young (April); stepbrothers, Cordariel Bob and Jahvonte Zachery; stepsisters, Nikki Zachery and Leronetta Young; special aunts Charlene Young and Rachel Dunn; uncle, Patrick "Unc" Rainey; and godmother, Theresa Andrus. Also, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
"I have fought a good fight; I have finished my course; I have kept the faith; Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only but unto all them also that love his appearing" II Timothy 4:7-8
