Selena, our precious warrior, has received eternal life and is now in the presence of the one she loved most, our Lord. Though it is with great sadness and tears we mourn this loss—we rejoice that she is finally home with the Lord.
Selena was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on July 3, 2022, and took her last breath in Phoenix, Arizona, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at 2:03pm in her mother’s arms.
She is survived by her mother, Illyra Leon, her grandparents, Temo and Yolanda Leon, her older sister, April Pacheco, her baby brother, Josiah Leon, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who absolutely adored her. She is preceded in death by her great grandparents, Fermin P. Zamora, Alicia Zamora, Cuauhtémoc Leon Sr., Manuela Leon, her uncles Frankie Zamora, and Albert Leon, her aunt Rosita Leon, her cousins Gianna Hurtado, Adrian Leon, and her twin baby sisters Anaiah Jade Leon and Angelica Rose Leon.
She was loved by her family, countless medical professionals at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and many international prayer warriors.
Selena was very sassy, she loved music, and playing drums. She spent most of her life at dialysis and in the hospital, however she was still so happy and funny. She loved acoustic worship music, Miley Cyrus, Cars, Frozen, and most of all Bluey. She loved her family and her dialysis nurses, but more than anything she loved Jesus. She carried her Jesus doll with her everywhere since she was six months old.
Pallbearers will be Marky Jaime, Tony Vaca Jr., Christopher Stevens, and Bobby Zamora Jr.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Temo Leon, Dad Leon, Michael Arinello, Bobby Zamora Sr., Tommy Zamora, and Tony Vaca Sr.
