Mr. Shannon D. Woods, 51, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas.
Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Woods will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Impact Ministries, 4445 Pershing Dr., Beaumont, 77705. A Public Viewing will be held on Friday, January 16, 2025 from 12:00 Noon until 5:00 p.m. and Visitation on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Church, with Burial Service to follow at Anthony Cemetery in Beaumont,Texas, under the direction of Mercy Funeral Home in Beaumont Texas. Shannon Doryea Woods formerly known as “Big Woods “or “Red” by all who loved him peacefully entered his eternal rest on Monday, January 5, 2026 in Beaumont, Texas.He was born September 9, 1974 to the late parents, Clarence Woods of Kirbyville, Texas and Evelyn Anthony Woods of Houston, Texas. He was a graduate of Kirbyville High School and an employee of Mason construction of sixteen years and went on to H.B. Neild construction for several years which led him to his final place of employment with Bechtel construction.To know Shannon was to love him you could always catch him hanging out with his friends and family cracking jokes. He always had a laugh or two for you. He was the life of anyone’s day and loved to make others smile which drew anyone he encountered to his warm spirit. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his crew (bks) best kept secret and never hesitated to live life to the fullest.Shannon cherished his family above all he leaves behind his loving wife, Sheridan (Sherrina); daughters, Kirsten, Abria, Nikki, Sabrina and Synthia; his sons, Malik, Chase, Keion, and Sinai; two loving sisters, Rhonda Woods Wagner and Mary Woods Douglas; twelve grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.Shannon was admired most for his strength and perseverance he was a fighter and conquered life’s challenges with a smile and Grace no matter what he was the definition of a true King.
