Sharon A. Hartwell

THERESA, NY – Sharon A. Hartwell, 65, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Syracuse, where she had been a resident.

Per her wishes, no public services will be held.

Sharon was born on February 27, 1960, in Baltimore, Maryland, the daughter of the late William and Mildred Byrley. She graduated from Chesapeake High School in 1979.

In her early years, Sharon worked as a photographer. She later began her lifelong career as a truck driver with Crete Carrier Corporation, traveling the country and visiting all but two states. Following her retirement from Crete Carrier Co., she drove school bus for JRC, First Student, and the Indian River School District.

Sharon enjoyed fishing, watching television, spending time outdoors, and she was an avid animal lover. She also found joy in cooking for her friends and family.

She has one brother, William John Byrley, and is survived by her grandson, Anthony Hartwell of Watertown.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her longtime companion, Linda.
