On behalf of Liberty High School Class of 1966 we offer our sincere condolences to Sheila's family and friends. We are saddened to hear of her passing. Shelia was a member of our Class Facebook Group and she has been added to our Gone but not Forgotten photo album.

This is very sad news. I have known Sheila since 1989, when we both worked in Human Resources for Exide Corporation. She was fun loving and outgoing. She was also a really good athlete in many sports but especially golf. We played many rounds together over the years. Sheila was also well known in the business community and was active in The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, having served as the Vice President and then President of The Human Resources Council. Sheila's Obituary

Sheila L. Persing, 77 of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 20, 2025 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. Born on February 3, 1948 in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Lansford and Grace (Burger) Herman. Sheila and her husband, Gerald “Jerry” celebrated 44 years of marriage together. She was an avid sports fan, especially bowling in her younger years and golfing in her adult years. Sheila was a member of the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, Raccoon Club, The Mercantile Club, and the BVFHA.

Survivors: In addition to her husband, Sheila is survived by her daughters, Michelle (Dorwart) Waskiewicz and husband Robert, Megan (Dorwart) Craig and husband Christopher, Andrea Galli and husband Dean, Tracey Kresley; grandchildren, Kyle, Grace, Kaitlyn, Mackenzie, Matthew, Mason; great grandchildren, Kamren, Kemma; a sister, Pamela and a niece Kristen. A son in law, Terry and a sister, Sherri preceded Sheila in death. 

Services: Family and friends may call on Monday, June 30th from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the Reichel Funeral Home, 326 E. 21st St., Northampton. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will be at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. Online condolences may be offered below.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Sheila.
