Shelton. I'm so sorry to hear of Shelbyes passing.
My sincere condolences to you and the entire family.
I have several memories of the time when Shelbye and my mom Mary aka (Punchie), lived together. I was just a child, but Shelbye was like a 2nd mother to me...always checking in on me when she talked to my mother. God bless you all. My prayers are with you and the entire family.

Funeral service for Shelbye Beatrice Hobbs of Tanner, Alabama will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 12:00 noon at the Round Island Creek Mission Center (13829 Lucas Ferry Road Athens, AL 35611). The body will lie in state from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time. Interment and committal will be at Thatch-Mann cemetery.
Public viewing will be held at the Peoples Funeral Home on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and the family will receive guest from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
