Sherrie will be missed. She was head strong & stubborn. But she was honest. She had her ways about her. But she also helped many people. Her & I shared a bond. And even though she didn't always say the things she wanted to, I know she appreciated my friendship. She suffered for so long. So I'm thankful for her to be out of her misery. She will be remembered

Sherrie Lynn Griffin, age 69, of Avon Park, FL, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024. She was born April 16, 1955 in Avon Park, Fl to Alton Edwar and Gloria V. (Peeples) Elder. Sherrie worked as a surgical technician, was of Methodist Faith, and has been a lifelong resident of Avon Park, FL. She is survived by her Daughter- Heather Bennett Howell (Michael D. Batterbee) of Sarasota, FL; Son – Jarrod Ross Griffin of Avon Park, FL; Son-in-law – Jason Howell of Avon Park, FL; Sister – Naomi Elder Lawson (Gene) of Thomaston, GA; Grandson – Jacob Howell (Brooke); and Great Granddaughter – Leila Howell. Sherrie is preceded in death by her Parents; and Sister – Geraldine Elder Fields. Sherrie will be remembered for her quick wit, vibrant personality and skills in the operating room.
