Funeral services for Sherry Gay Braswell, age 72 of Farmerville, LA, will be held at 1:00 Pm, Friday, October 3, 2025 at Sardis Baptist Church with Bro. Harlin Knight officiating. Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home.
Sherry born January 10th, 1953 in Monroe, La. She went to be with her Savior on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 in West Monroe, La. . She was well loved by everyone she met and never met a stranger. Sherry worked in the service industry most of her life. She spent most of her free time hanging out with her five sisters and numerous cousins or playing with grand and great grandchildren . She enjoyed being outside. Sherry loved this time of year. Raking and burning leaves was not work but relaxing to her. Being a grandparent and great grandparent and “Granny” to just about everyone else was her greatest joy of all.
Sherry was preceded in death by parents, L.C. and Marteal Tidwell Redden, son, Julio “Jay” Aguilar Jr. and daughter, Angel Patrick Bryan.
She is survived by daughters, Tammy Patrick Hughes of Farmerville and Jennifer G. Aguilar of Dallas; sisters, Kathy Harrison and husband Max, Judy R Ates, Debbie R. Craighead, Karen R. Knight and husband Harlin, and Christy Redden all of Farmerville. Grandchildren, M. Chase Wyatt, Kimber Griggs, Brayden Hughes, Whitney Maxwell, Reagan Robinson, Logan Smith, Daniel Aguilar, Austin Aguilar and Selena Nejara; great grandchildren, Hollee and Rylee Aguilar, Colt Frost, Elijah and Eliza Aguilar; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers are Daniel Aguilar, Austin Aguilar, Brayden Hughes, Steven Hughes, Zachary Smith, Logan Smith and Scott Harrison.
Visitation will be held at 12:00 PM, prior to the service, Friday, October 3, 2025 at Sardis Baptist Church.
Sherry was strong in her faith of God always. The family would like to thank Dr. Ron Hammett and all the staff of Glenwood Regional Medical Center for their kind and attentive care. In lieu of flowers donations can be made directly to Farrar Funeral Home whom we will be eternally grateful to for their kind and attentive care during this time.
