Sherry Hillis, age 67, formerly of Greenville, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Wardell, Missouri on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. She was born on March 30,1958 in St. Louis, Missouri.
Earlier in life, she was no stranger around Greenville. She worked at the North Town Restaurant and the Greenville Diner. Sherry married George Hillis in 1977 and had 49 great years together.
She is preceded in death by her father Goody, her mother Cleo Lois Sly and stepfather William Charles Sly.
Survivors include her husband, George Hillis of Wardell, MO, her son, Christopher Hillis and his wife Pearl of Wardell, MO, one brother, Rusty Sly of Greenville, MO, two sisters, Sandy Deering of Poplar Bluff, MO, Candy Carter and her husband Mike of Kearney, MO, one grandson, Christopher Hillis of Wardell, MO, along with many other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
