Sherryan Lee (Ingle) Reische, age 79, a resident of Salem, Oregon, passed away on Thursday, August 1st, 2024, at Salem Hospital, Oregon. She is predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Franklin S. Reische. Sherry was born on September 19, 1944, in Seattle, Washington to Russell and Lucille (Bancroft) Ingle. She is the oldest of three sisters, middle sister Karen (Ingle) Langendorfer of Kennewick, Washington and youngest sister Pamela (Ingle) Dutton of Astoria, Oregon.
As a child, Sherryan lived many places in the western states including, on a ranch near North Powder, Oregon, on the Snake River in Hells Crayon, Oregon, Mattawa, Washington, and finally, Shingle Springs, California where she graduated from El Dorado High School in Placerville.
In 1965, Sherryan met Franklin S. Reische on her 21st birthday and they were married on October 14, 1967. They enjoyed more than 50 years as a married couple sharing good times and raising their son, Damon W. Reische.
Sherry worked for Pacific Bell (Pacific Tellesis, AT&T) in and near Sacramento, California for over 25 years, eventually becoming a high-level manager who was well respected by her peers. She retired from Ma Bell in 1992, and shortly after, she and Frank moved to Oregon to be closer to family.
Some of Sherry’s favorite times were camping with her family. Throughout her life she enjoyed cooking, sewing, and making decorative cards for loved ones.
Sherry is survived by her son, Damon; daughter-in-law, Jenne (Brubaker) Reische; and grandson, Noah of Beavercreek, Oregon. She is also survived by her sisters, Karen and Pam, and nieces and nephews.
Sherry will be laid to rest next to her husband Frank at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon on August 30th.
The Family wishes to thank Dr. Gurram, Dr. Andone and Dr. Luckeroth for their excellent care, kindness and compassion over the years. Also, special thanks to Brian and Pam Dutton for all their support.
