Sheryl Lynn Jonas passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on January 3, 2026. Born on April 3, 1958, in Fort Worth, Texas, she leaves behind a loving family, including her husband, J.D. Jonas; son Shane and his wife, Wendy Cook; parents Charles and Ruth Wright; brother Steve and his wife, Alana Wright; sister Sharon and her husband, Tommy McCain; and sister-in-law Carolyn and her husband, Jack Houghton. Sheryl was a cherished grandmother to Dylan and Jackson Cook and a beloved aunt to nieces Kasey Ivanhoe and her husband Jared, Randi Horton and her husband Matt, and Ginger Houghton, as well as nephews Cody McCain and Jerry Houghton. She also adores her grandnieces Brynlee Ivanhoe and Emalynn Horton, and her grandnephew Cainen Ivanhoe.
Sheryl was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Wright, and her grandparents Sam and LeLa Downing, and Walter and Thelma Wright.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of remembrance at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in her honor.
