Our Aunt Shirley was always a thoughtful, kind, and cheerful presence in our family. From the days when we would hang out with our cousins at her house as kids to the hard times that come with losses late in life, she always enjoyed family during the good times and had considerate words for us and always remembered us in the hard times. Despite life dealing her the losses of her parents, huband, siblings, and a son, she kept her positive nature and treated the whole world like a friend.

Shirley's Obituary

Shirley Ann (Oliver) Tucker, 88, of Mason, WV, passed away November 5, 2025, at her home following an extended illness.

She was born October 26, 1937, in Clifton, WV, a daughter of the late Chester Clarence and L. Frances (Edwards) Oliver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Olin Tucker; son, Todd Olin Tucker; brother, Robert “Bob” Oliver; sister, Joan Bennett.

She was a 1955 graduate of Wahama High School. She was a homemaker and attended Mason and Clifton United Methodist Churches.

Survivors include her sons, Tim (Medina) Tucker of Clifton, WV, Terry (Kathy) Tucker of Myrtle Beach, SC and Troy (Tammara) Tucker of Zanesville, OH; grandchildren, Trisha, Tiffany, Crystal, Tyler and Allie; eight great-grandchildren.

Service will be 2 p.m. ~ Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Foglesong-Casto Funeral Home, Mason, WV., with Pastor Jordan Decker officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Baptist Church Cemetery, New Haven, WV. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
