SOCORRO BALTIERREZ

Dedicated wife, mother, loving grandmother and great grandmother Socorro R. Baltierrez, age 84, of Douglas, Arizona passed into God's hands on January 14, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jaime B. Baltierrez and her daughter Rosavelia Witt. She is survived by her children, Bertha Alicia Cornejo, Raul Baltierrez (Vicki Baltierrez), Elsa R. Baltierrez, Cecelia Wilson (John Wilson), Martin X. Baltierrez (Richard Belchar-Baltierrez), 15 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren. Socorro enjoyed spending time with her family, she was an exceptional cook and no one ever left her house hungry. She was a pristine homemaker, a mother figure to most. Socorro lived a very meaningful life, she was a very giving person and taught her family very valuable morals and life lessons that will be carried from generation to generation. She was very strong in her faith and her door was always open to anyone and everyone. Her legacy will carry on through her loved ones and her light will burn bright in the hearts of those that she touched. A Rosary for Socorro will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Brown Page Mortuary. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at St. Luke's Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Douglas, Arizona.
