Sister Phyllis, was my Principal at St. Eugene School in Detroit, MI when I was a student there graduating 8th grade in 1971. She was one if the BEST! And now she meets her Lord and sings in glory!

Obituary

Sr. Phyllis's Obituary

Sr. Phyllis Angerer, a Sister of Notre Dame de Namur, born in Dayton, OH, died peacefully on Aug. 24, 2025 at the age of 96, in the 78th year of her religious life. Her passing is mourned by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins and many friends. Her parents and brother John preceded her in death.  Sister’s ministry as educator and administrator took her to Dayton, Cincinnati, Columbus, and Reading, OH; and Detroit, MI.  After her retirement Sister continued in service to her sisters at Mount Notre Dame Health Center.

The visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 3, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Notre Dame Health Center, 699 E. Columbia Ave, Cincinnati, OH (513-821-7448), followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 3 p.m. and interment.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jubilee Fund of the Sisters of Notre Dame, 701 E. Columbia Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45215.
