Not sure what to say?

I worked for Stanley on his farm during the summer of 2000 and also 2002 between semesters at veterinary school. I really enjoyed him, and he was a true farmer and a good man. I visited him a couple of times in 2010 or so, after he had converted his JD 4020 to run on cooking oil! Age never stopped him, and I will miss him.

Stanley and Diane, sorry to hear of your father's passing. Every time I visited the farm he was working. Can't remember him ever entering the house, or for that matter sit down (unless on
a tractor). He raised some hard working children.

My condolences to you and your families.

Knowing Stan he's figuring a way to plow at night in heaven. One of the hardest working farmers I have ever known.

Stanley and I became great friends 6 years ago. At more than 25 years younger than Stanley, perhaps we made a strange pair of friends. People would say, "Oh, so nice of you to look after Stanley." Truth is, Stanley looked after me, made me laugh, and taught me grace. Will miss him, and hope he has gone to a heavenly farm with plenty of cows, snowmobiles, maps, and rootbeer.

Stan, I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad. Our families go back a long way, and had a lot of good times over the years in Virgil. Just wanted you to know that we're thinking of you and your family.
