Dear Margo,Sally, Nancy, Harry and Chrissy: I was so sorry to hear "Butch" passed away. Have many memories of him as a kid growing up across the street. Thoughts, hugs and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.

He sure is missed dearlyI loved seeing his smile when I would show up He was always doing his crosswords, playing fetch with the pups .. or banging for Becky and Thelma to bring his ice cream what a great guy. Rip

Stanley's Obituary

CALCIUM, NY – Stanley M. Layo, 85, of Hyacres Drive, passed away on August 30th, 2025 at Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.

Born on April 12, 1940 in Watertown, Stanley was the son of Sid and Thelma Layo. He worked for Brookside Cemetery, Benny’s Steakhouse, and Mercy Hospital over the years.

Survivors include four children, Rebecca Rogers of Calcium, Thelma Layo of Calcium, Stanley Layo of Calcium, and Marie Layo of Watertown; six siblings, Margo of Pennsylvania, Sally of Sackets Harbor, Nancy of Citrus Springs, Florida, Christina (Jon) of NewPort Richey, Florida, Harry (Sandra) of Watertown, and Lori of Watertown; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Stanley enjoyed doing puzzles and watching his soap operas. He was an avid NY Yankees and NY Giants fan.
