Stanley Joseph Pocius, born on July 2, 1946, in Oglesby, IL, passed away on July 18, 2025 in Sublette, IL. He married Sandra Willard October 18, 1970 in Mendota, IL.
Stanley enjoyed many outdoorsy things including golfing and fishing. His fishing trips to Canada were some of his favorites. A skilled craftsman and mechanic, Stanley found great satisfaction in tinkering and fixing things, especially his cars. He would enjoy building things like birdhouses and creating his perfect custom fishing boat.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Pocius of Sublette, IL; two sons: Kevin (Tina) Pocius and Todd and (Mary) Pocius both of Mendota, IL; sister: Bonnie Zywica of Oglesby, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Bernice Pocius; brother: Bill Pocius.
Cremation care was handled by the Horner-Merritt Funeral Home in Mendota. Per his wishes there will be no services for Stanley. Visit www.horner-merrit.com for online guest book.
