My beautiful friend Starr in 2010 at a family function in Columbia, Maryland.

Starr was a dear friend for many years, since we met at work years ago and had cubicles next to one another. Through laughter, tears, joy, occasional disagreements, happy occasions and sad ones, our friendship and our trust in one another lasted a lifetime that was far too short. She was selfless in her care for others, and volunteer work was very important to her.
