Stella M. (Williams) Bageant, 92, of Normalville (formerly of Bullskin Township), passed away at 2 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022, in Eicher’s Personal Care Home, Normalville. On Nov. 14, 1929, God delivered Stella Marie (Williams) Bageant into the arms of her parents, George and Mary Ann (Rugg) Williams. On May 5, 2022, Jesus said I am ready for you and desire that you live in heaven with me. I will reunite you with your loving husband, Edward C. Bageant and daughter, Carol Ann Bageant.
Mom loved and served the Lord, Jesus Christ throughout her life reaching out to help anyone in need. She was a member of Central Fellowship Church in Connellsville. During her life, Mom worked hard helping many people clean their homes. She also worked for many years as a housekeeper for Dr. and Mrs. James Benford and was a nanny to Stephanie and Lisa. Once they were grown, she chose to go back to school to earn her GED and nursing assistant training. She was employed by Frick Hospital where she retired as a nursing assistant, moving on to do private duty care for many people in the area. In 1995, God asked her and Dad to volunteer for 10 years at Southwest Indian School in Peoria, Ariz., helping to cook three meals a day for hundreds of Indian students over the years.
Left to cherish the memories of hugs, a spotless home with clothes always being ironed, soup beans and homemade rolls and bread (the best ever), spaghetti dinners, rigatonis and potato salad on all the holidays, coconut cream, lemon, and our favorite, graham cracker pies, cookies, and buckeyes are those who knew her best as “Mom” are Thomas Bageant of Scottdale, Sandy Bigam, Mark (Vicky) Bageant, and a special friend and “daughter,” Janice Miller, all of Connellsville.
