I knew Stephen during high school in Bremen and then worked alongside him for a few years at Rader Equipment while we lived in Indiana. Steve was always a shining light to anyone he met. I appreciated his mild mannered way of doing things. Nothing ever appeared to bother him. His testimony was solid and I trust his family will always know that Steve indeed, loved the Lord Jesus. Praying for you all.

Stephen (“Steve”) L. Beron, 70, of Bremen, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on March 23, 2025. He bore the progression of ALS with courage, looking forward to the day he would see his wife, parents and many friends who awaited his entrance into glory.
He was born on August 28, 1954, in Bremen, Indiana, to Willard and Mary (Cripe) Beron. Steve was a 1973 graduate of Bremen High School. On July 7, 1979, he married Rebecca (“Becky”) Sark at Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church, Goshen. Becky predeceased him on July 21, 2022. In addition to farming, Steve worked as a skilled parts technician for Bremen Farm Center, Rader Equipment and Weaver Ag/WakarusaAg his entire adult life.
Steve dedicated his life to serving the Lord and sharing his talents, always helping neighbors and friends with anything mechanical, from chainsaws to tractors. If no one else could fix it, Steve would figure out a way to get it to work. Steve learned to farm the land from his Uncle Lloyd and continued his uncle’s farming legacy on the same farm. Steve’s purpose in life was to live for the Lord and to be with Him through all of eternity. Steve was a strong patriarch of his family, a good friend to his neighbors and colleagues, and a man who imparted wisdom and kindness. He was a faithful member of Nappanee Missionary Church and lived his Christian values day to day, passing them on to his family, who continues his faith legacy.
He is survived by his son, Nathan Lloyd (Megan Kiehl) Beron, and grandsons, Owen and Liam, of Bremen; sister Carolyn (Bill) Stanek, of Big Rapids, Michigan; brother Dewayne (Yvonne) Beron, of Marshall, Michigan; and brother Wendell (Nancy) Beron of Brooklyn Center, Minnesota; along with nieces, nephews, and many beloved friends and relatives.
Pallbearers are Nathan Beron, Alex Brenneman, Dan Brenneman, Roger Hygema, Greg Holden, and Gerrit Brinkhoff.
Honorary pallbearers are: Dewayne Beron, Jake Brinkhoff, Fred Hunsberger, Keith Klotz, Phil Lehman, Dave Rader, and Chris Snyder.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Nappanee Missionary Church and Sammy Tippit Ministries.
Visitation is Friday, March 28, 2025 from 3-8pm at Nappanee Missionary Church in the Chapel. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 9:30am at Bremen Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 10:30am at Nappanee Missionary Church in the Worship Center. Officiating are Rev. Jason Rohde and Rev. Dan Brenneman.
