“And Now There Is Peace”
Born November 19, 1932, in Bountiful, Utah, to Guy and Pearl Terrell; first son and second child. Stephen passed away peacefully in his sleep September 30, 2025, at the age of 92.
He spent his early childhood growing up in Las Vegas, NV and Fillmore, UT; graduating from Millard High School.
Steve loved the beautiful mountains above Fillmore. He explored them with his best buddies: hunting, camping, and exploring its beautiful canyons, even up to the very top of Mt. Catherine. He lived a wild life, riding his mustang horse all about the West Desert. On the farm in Flowell, the hay had to be watered, cut, baled, and then loaded, with the help of his younger brothers, and hauled off to the local buyers. Together, he and his dad would play their guitars sharing their love for music for hours at a time.
Steve was drafted into the Army after graduation but after the Army life was over and all the other trips to the many states he traveled to and worked in, Steve would always return to ‘Flowell and The Farm’.
Steve led a varied life of mechanical work and mining, both of which he loved to do. His long life brought him many joys and many trials, many different activities and many friends.
Steve is survived by his little sister Kathleen (Glenn Pearmain), sister-in-law Nina and the many, many nieces and nephews from the marriages of his brothers and sisters.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Pearl Terrell; his brothers Max (Claudia), Clark, and sisters Vilda Johnson (Jed), Nila Hogan (Bill).
Graveside services will be held at the Fillmore City Cemetery located at 325 East 600 South, Fillmore, Utah, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with special military honors.
Family and friends are welcome to attend.
