Stephanie Lynn O’Brien Collins, age 49, passed away on October 4, 2025, in Slidell, Louisiana. Born on July 8, 1976, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Stephanie brought joy and warmth to all who know her throughout her life.
A proud graduate of Salmen High School’s Class of 1995, Stephanie later pursued higher education at the University of New Orleans, earning her degree in 2012. Her dedication to helping others led her to a fulfilling career in the Admissions Office at Delgado Community College in New Orleans, where she welcomed countless students with kindness and encouragement.
Stephanie was known for her vibrant personality and generous heart. She never met a stranger and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Whether she was spending time with family at church or shopping for makeup treasures, Stephanie embraced life with enthusiasm and humor. She especially loved going on cruises with her husband or vacationing with family-moments that brought her immense happiness.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Phillip Collins; her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Alyssa Triana; her daughter, Marissa Collins; her sister, Stacey Ann O’Brien; sisters-in-law Denitra Collins and Darlene Collins; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jeff and Tonya Collins; bonus daughter Lyric Kahoe; niece Kayla Panks, nephew Nathaniel Murray, niece Jasmine Collins, nephew Jamal Collins, godchildren Kelise and Kailyn Jones; grandchildren, and extended family members who cherished her deeply.
Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, Robert W. O’Brien Jr. and Alice F. Petty. Her grandparents Edrith and Frank Mitternight and Lucille and Jack Triana; her niece Sydney Murray.
Her presence lit up every room she entered—she was truly the life of the party and never hesitated to bring laughter to those around her. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
May her memory bring comfort to those who know and loved her. A Visitation will be held on October 11, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Doyle’s Funeral Home, 2430 Fourth Street. A Celebration of Life will be held on October 11, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Fritchie Park, 95 W. Howze Beach Rd.
May the Lord strengthen and comfort the family during their time of bereavement.
