On May 22, 2004, in Jamaica, New York, a beautiful baby was born to Tamika Victoria Holmes and Jermaine Links. This bundle of joy whom his mother named Stephon Darius Links weighed seven pounds.
Growing up Stephon enjoyed playing basketball and video games. He also loved music and swimming. He was a big prankster with his siblings, family, and friends. No matter how tough he appeared, he was the most sensitive amongst all of us.
Stephon loved everyone, especially the girls. He would not end a call with is loved ones or friends without saying, "I love you". There were two special women who meant the world to him....his mother, Tamika and grandmother, Pearlie. He would smile with his handsomeness and affectionately greet his mother as "Hey Sexy"! He loved his mother and even as a teenager he would speak very highly of her to friends. He adored his grandmother too. He knew that he had her heart, and, in her eyes, he could do no wrong.
Over the years, Stephon attended schools in New York and Fayetteville, North Carolina. During this time, he became known as "June Bug" and his great" and his great cousin, Tyshema Basnight since his birth would lovingly call him "Alfredo". Stephon's smile was contagious. He just knew he was handsome! No one could him him different.!
On January 15, 2023, Stephon departed this earth tragically and unexpectedly in Fayetteville at the young age of 18. He leaves to cherish his memories, parents of Tamika of Charlotte, NC, and Jermain of Georgia, his siblings, Stephanie Links of Hollis, NY, Shatekke D. Marshall of Jamaica, NY, Sierra D. Marshall of Charlotte, NC, his maternal grandmother, Pearlie Holmes of Hollis, NY, paternal grandmother, Juanita Latimere of Flushing, NY, his uncles, Andre Robinson (Latresa) of Charlotte, NC, Stephen Holmes, of Jamaica, NY, Godmother, Leah Johnson (Jamaica, NY). He will also be missed by great aunts/uncles, cousins, and friends.
