Steve "Sonny" Augusta Godwin, Jr.

One of the best principals Steingfellow ever had..r.i.p

I wrote Barbara a card, but to the extended family, please know we remember Steve as kind, caring, and often determined--for a good reason. Andrea & Stan (friends from the Y for several years)

Mr. Godwin was a wonderful elementary principal at Stringfellow for many years. I always looked up to him. He was a wonderful man along with Mrs. Godwin and Allyson. I will always remember him. May God give the family strength during this difficult time.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. We love you all and share so many special memories.

We loved Mr. Steve. He was such a sport. Cody had him for math class and I waited on him in a restaurant I worked in. We are so sad to hear about his passing. Cody and I will keep be keeping all of you in prayers. May you all find peace and comfort in knowing you will be reunited with Mr. Steve again. May God Bless you all.

I am so saddened by the loss of such a wonderful, caring and compassionate man. He was an inspiration to all of us who he supported in our physical fitness journeys. He inspired me and pushed me to be the best I could be and was always there to help me work through challenges and overcome. Steve will be forever missed and forever remembered.

Barbara, I will so miss seeing Steve at the ymca and in the fashion show. He will be missed. You are in our prayers.
