Not sure what to say?

Cousin Steve will be remembered for many things not the least of which is for preparing the very best salmon dinner ever!!! We really enjoyed our visits to Steve and Val’s Washington home and the special retreat on Guemes Island!!

I had the privilege of attending Mr. Ufer's chemistry class at Washington High school in 1981 and later computer class in '83. Steve made learning chemistry fun. I still remember one experiment we had where we combined the ingredients on the list and heated it just right only to find out that we made candy that we could enjoy. When Steve was asked to lead up the computer department, he and I spent many hours together discussing computers and programming. He asked me to help tutor in his...

I enjoyed Steven in the dental office. He was always cheerful and optimistic. It's evident that he had joy in care for others. As I read other reflections. they are all true. No matter how long you knew Steven, he is one to make a lasting impression that was full of love and hope for human kind.

Steve was a blessing at Pullman High - especially each day before Mr Mitchell’s chemistry class.

On school days we often shared a quick lunch hour trip - he on his Cushman scooter - to Arctic Circle for a 17 cent hamburger and a shake.

Good times!

Our family was so blessed the day Steve and Valerie's daughter Kristina, married our Grandson and Nephew Jeffrey. It's been an absolute honor and a privilege to have known such a great man and family. We know his warmth, wisdom, and his legacy of excellence is safe. It will live on in his adorable Grandchildren who will make him proud. We will always treasure all the good times and will never forget the positive and special impact he made in our lives. The world was a better place...

Steve was a real Gentleman and Scholar, not just because of his appearance, academic achievements and many commendable services, but also his affable personality and caring-heart regardless who you are. We are so proud of our nephew having such a wonderful and admirable father-in-law. His passing is sad but he sure believed that it’s the call from God he trusted with Rest In Peace assured to him. May God bless his family.

Steve was our neighbor on Guemes, and I
always looked forward to our brief chats!
As a helpful neighbor and terrific teacher,
we really can’t measure the full effect of
his life of cheerful service!!

Sad to see another lost classmate from our PHS class if ‘64. Blessings to his family. Wish I had known him better! My husband Bob remembers him as a good childhood friend.

Steve was a great mentor and unpretentious / down to earth extraordinary individual. His passions for a life well lived and with a respectful inspiration to everyone who knew him. His loyal devotion to family was unparalleled. The merging of our two families was one of the greatest blessings. Steve will always live on in our hearts and we know he is at peace and will be forever missed.
