Steven Howard Vonier

  Steven Howard Vonier, 66, of Golden City, Missouri passed away on Monday, March 11,2024 at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, MO. Steve was born on September 19,1957 in Wichita, Kansas to William Howard and Velma (Hatfield) Vonier. He was a mechanic having worked for Allis-Chalmers and John Deere dealerships for 47 years. Steve graduated from Golden City High School with the class of 1975.  

     Steve was united in marriage to Susan Langston, she preceded him in death on June 9, 2005. He was then united in marriage to Regina Hampton on May 3, 2008. She survives. Other survivors include one son, Kristopher Vonier of Golden City, MO, one daughter, Lisa McGuire also of Golden City, his mother, Velma Moffett of Carthage, MO, one sister, Nora Jean Williamson of Shawnee, Kansas and three grandchildren, Westen Vonier, Hadley McGuire, and Benton McGuire. He was preceded in death by his father.

     Graveside funeral services will be held on Friday, March 15,2024 at 2:00 p.m.  at Hackney Cemetery. The Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 14,2024 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO. Burial will be in Hackney Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
