Stevie's Obituary

In Loving Memory of Steven "Stevie" Venard Kincaid, II October 25, 1972 – October 7, 2025

Steven "Stevie" Venard Kincaid, II, age 52, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with kidney cancer. Born on October 25, 1972, Stevie lived a life full of laughter, love, and unforgettable moments that left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Stevie was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep love for motorcycles, car and truck shows, country rides, and working on cars. Some of his favorite pastimes were taking his son, Lucas fishing and hunting for turtles, playing with his grandchildren, singing and listening to music with his daughter, Kayla, working on cars with his son Jordan, watching sports with his son Dalton, and traveling to festivals, exploring new restaurants and unexpected road trips with his wife, Tasha —quiet adventures that spoke volumes about his gentle spirit. He was a regular at truck and lawnmower pulls, where his enthusiasm and energy were contagious.

From a very young age, Stevie was no stranger to hard work. He began his working life with horses, showing horses and cattle sales, instilling in him a strong work ethic that stayed with him throughout his life. Stevie was a man of many talents and could do just about anything.  He later spent many years working in maintenance at General Cable after attending school to earn that position, where his dedication and reliability earned the respect of all who worked alongside him.

Known affectionately as “Fat Boy,” Stevie embraced the nickname with pride, especially when it came to his love of food—lasagna and Taco Tico taco burgers being his all-time favorite. His sense of humor was unmatched. He was silly, goofy, and always ready to make someone laugh. His infectious laughter and warm personality were gifts he shared freely, and his presence lit up every room he entered.

Stevie’s heart was enormous. He loved his wife and children deeply and cherished every moment spent with family and friends. He considered Eddie Carey a father figure, Carmen Stewart a sister, and his Aunt Zora Long a second mother. He held Kayla and Kennedi Sutherland and Mia Wainscott close to his heart, loving them as if they were his own daughters and Cody Carey as a son.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Dorresia Long Kincaid and Steven Venard Kincaid, his beloved son, Lindon Kincaid, a granddaughter Nevaeh Kincaid, his father-in-law Chester Sutherland and his grandparents and great-grandparents..His memory will live on through his devoted wife, Tasha Sutherland Kincaid, and his children: Jordan (Chelsey) Kincaid, Kayla (David) Owens, Dalton Sutherland of Frankfort, and Lucas Kincaid of Lawrenceburg. He also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren: Colton, Chase, Jackson, Jayce, Aubree, and Lacey and his mother-in-law, Linda Sutherland, whom he adored.  Other survivors include  his brothers, Marcus Kincaid, Neil McConnell, his sister Millie Anger, and his uncle Roger Long.

Stevie’s passing has left a tremendous void in the hearts of many. To know him was to love him, and his legacy will continue through the laughter, love, and memories he gave so generously.
