We are so sad to hear of Aunt Susan's passing, and our thoughts and prayers are with all of our cousins in New Jersey. Us "Hafer" boys from the New York branch of the Davala family tree have some of the best memories of our family gatherings, and I can say personally that Aunt Susan helped shape me as a young boy treating me as one of her own. We all looked forward to the family gatherings at the Jersey Shore and Keuka Lake, and cherish those memories wishing we could do it all over again. ...

My brother just told me about Aunt Susan’s passing. To my cousins, I am so sorry. No matter how much we try to prepare ourselves for when our family member passes it’s still so hard to process that they are gone. Aunt Susan was, and will always be, such a wonderful part of my growing up memories. I can still see her laying out on a chaise lounge at the lake getting her daily sun tan and her radio tuned to “Home Of The ‘62 Heavy Chevy” AM station 620 out of Syracuse. Funny the things...
