Susan F. Kasson (née Fuller), of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the age of 70. She was born on March 15, 1955, in Cincinnati, the beloved daughter of the late William Fuller and Ella Jane Fuller (née Williams).
A lifelong Cincinnatian, Susan loved her hometown deeply and cherished the life she built there. She was devoted to her family above all and found immense joy in spending time with her husband of over 44 years, children, and grandchildren. She adored her cats, had a love of travel, and especially treasured lobster dinners and boating adventures with Don through the Freedom Boat Club. A scholar at heart, Susan earned a doctorate in religious studies, reflecting her lifelong curiosity and passion for learning.
Susan was also a passionate Cincinnati Bengals fan, proudly cheering them on through every season. She was an avid athlete, and in her younger years, she was a competitive 4.0 tennis player, known for her skill and spirited play. She also shared a close bond with her late brother, Jack Fuller (Beverly), whose memory remained a guiding presence in her life.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jack; and her beloved great-grandson, Quinn.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Donald Kasson; and by her loving children: Patrick Kasson (Elizabeth), Peter Kasson (Michelle), Kelly Popp (Tony), Chris Kasson (Rebecca), Elizabeth Ascue (Robert), and Sean Kasson. She also leaves behind her cherished sisters, Barbara Cherry (Russell) and Nancy Fuller; along with many treasured grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She will be remembered for her warmth, her strength, her fierce love of family, and the joy she brought to every room she entered. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church in Hyde Park, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Susan will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Gates of Heaven Cemetery, in a private burial with close family and friends.
