Sylvester B. Santos Jr., 79 of Tiverton, died on Monday, May 23, 2011. He was the husband of Lucy (Diogo)Santos. Born in Fall River, Mass., he was the son of the late Lucy (Barriera) and Sylvester B. Santos.He had formerly worked as an Inspector in the Rubberized Room at Firestone, as a Foreman at Jefferson Construction and at Campanelli & Cardi. He was a communicant of Holy Ghost Parish and a lifetime member of the Liberal Club. He had served in the US Marines from 1948 to 1951. In addition to his wife, he leaves a son Bruce and his wife Pauline Santos, a grandaughter Kelly and her husband Chris Perry and a greatgrandson Christopher Michael Perry. He also leaves a sister Joan Shirley Roy. He was predeceased by a sister Nancy Torres and a brother George Santos. Visitation THURSDAY 5-8 PM, His Funeral will be held FRIDAY at 8 am from the POCASSET MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME 462 Main Rd, Tiverton, RI with a 9am Mass at Holy Ghost Church.
