Tammy was one of the nicest sweetest and kindest person I know. She would do or help you any way. Most of all she loved her family and was proud of her girls. I always enjoyed working with her.

Tammy Sue (Lewis) Carson, 67, of Mason, WV, passed away January 16, 2026, in Cabell Huntington Hospital, following an extended illness.
She was born January 15, 1959, in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late Lawrence Leonard and Clara Virginia (Jeffers) Lewis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Noah Michael Carson, brother, Ed Lewis and sister, Sharon Martin.
She was a graduate of Wahama High School. She was a former Nursing assistant and retired from Walmart of Mason with 15 plus years of service. She attended the Maranatha Cornerstone Church, Letart, WV and enjoyed QVC and thrift stores.
Survivors include her daughters, Mindy Beth (Chris) Yonker of Mason, WV and Michelle Lee Whittington and Shawn Matthews of Mason, WV; grandchildren, Macie Whittington, Kylee, Kodi and Cole Rife; one great-grandchild.
Services for Tammy have been postponed until spring due to the weather and road conditions. We will announce the spring date for services when it is set.
