Tatum's Obituaries

Tatum Karter Jessie, 5 years old of Forest Hills, KY, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025.  Tatum was born June 18, 2020, in Morristown, TN, the son of Alahna Jessie and Isaiah Birchfield.

Tatum was a beautiful, brown-eyed boy, a precious angel whose laughter could light up an entire room and whose love wrapped around others in big neck hugs that will never be forgotten. He loved dinosaurs, chips, and music, and with his funny spirit and contagious joy he brought smiles to everyone who knew him. He had a tender heart, always forward-moving and full of love, the little man who would hold his mommy’s face in both hands and say “Mommy” with all the sweetness in the world. He was, and always will be, the precious, soft-hearted boy—the man then, and still the man now.

Other than his parents, Tatum is survived by his God Parents and Aunt and Uncle, Madison Jessie and Grayson Cook; loving grandparents, Ariana Jessie, Stephen Jessie, Sarah Birchfield, Leo Childress and Ruby Ball; his sister, Wrenlee Whitt; aunts and uncles, Kaeden (Tamara) Birchfield, Ryan Jessie, Chris Jessie, Ian Fields, Hope Collins, Serenity Martin, Sophie Varney, Cruz Marcum and Macie Jessie; great grandparents, Barry Birchfield, Jim and Jeanne Hall, Greg and Brenda Jessie and Sandy Fields; his cousins, Bryson Birchfield and Ian Birchfield.  Tatum also leaves behind a host of other loving family and friends.

Tatum's visitation will be held Friday, August 22, 2025, from 6 - 8 PM at the Williamson Fieldhouse, Williamson, WV.  Funeral services will follow on Saturday, August 23, 2025, beginning at 12 PM at the Fieldhouse with Jerry Deskins officiating.  Burial will follow in the Mountain View Memory Gardens, Huddy, KY.  R.
