Obituary

Ted's Obituary

After a courageous battle with cancer, our beloved Ted Wade Harris, joined his Savior in Heaven on Feb 27, 2026, at the age of 68.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home in Burkburnett with Rev. Richard Allen officiating.  Interment will follow at Burkburnett Memorial Cemetery.

Born in Wichita Falls, Texas to Ted B. Harris and Dorothy Crane Harris, Wade grew up in the Burkburnett community.  After graduation in 1976, Wade joined the US Army and spent time in Germany.  After his military time, Wade returned to Burkburnett and worked many jobs including oil fields, factory work and eventually began a career as an over the road truck driver.  After his retirement, Wade began a lawn care business and took care of many Burkburnett Clients and their properties.

Cherishing Wade are his beloved wife of 38 years, Donna (Dee Dee) Harris, his son Scott Wiliams, his daughter-in-law Jamie Williams and his grand-daughters; Shelby Renay Sanders, Dani Marie Williams and Randi Lynn Williams; his in-laws Randy Umlah, Marion (Mike) Newell, Marguerite (Brian) Love and many other family members and close friends.   He is also survived by his mother Dorothy Harris, his sisters Lisa Price, Jennifer Harris, bonus sister Jeannie Wagoner, his brother-in-law Scott Minard and his nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wade and Dee Dee shared many wonderful memories while following their sons in their athletics, travelling around to baseball & football games and rodeos to cheer for them from the stands.   They were blessed to spend time together as a family, camping, fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles.  Wade was a good friend to all, always willing to lend a hand and help.  He was fun loving and known for his witty personality and “Wadeisms” and was affectionately known as “Mayhem” to his friends.  He always made memories on trips to Sturgis, Daytona, Galveston, Sparks, Crater Lake and camping trips traveling with their group of friends.

Wade is reunited in heaven with his son Danny “DJ” Willams Jr, his father Ted, his sister Jacque, his brother Travis, his brother-in-law Hoss Guffey, his in-laws Don & Vivian Umlah and all those he loved who are in heaven greeting him.

Wade knew Jesus Christ as his Lord & Savior and was ready to join him on the path to glory.

Wade was an animal lover and gave many rescued dogs a forever home.
