I first met Tempie when I was a young child. I spent alot of time at their house and enjoyed every minute. My parents also became very good friends of the Neuman family. I can honestly say the world was a better place because she was in it. RIP Tempie and rejoice with Mr. Bill.

She was the sweetest person. I have great memories of being treated like one of her own growing up. She always had a smile. She will truly missed by all those she touched with her love. RIP.

Tempie Estelle Boyd Neuman, long time resident of Blanco, was called home on Friday afternoon, August 1, 2025, at L.B.J. Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born on January 8, 1934 in Gillette, Texas to Arthur and Tempie Corine Dromgoole Boyd. She attended a small one room school house there until the family moved to Sealy, Texas. She was an honor graduate of Sealy High School in 1951. Soon after graduation, she married Bill Neuman Sr. of Brookshire, Texas, on August 9 and they made their home in Brazoria, Texas for a number of years.
In 1953, they started their family with the birth of their only son, followed by three daughters. The family moved to Weimar, Texas for most of the 60’s. After a few moves by the company Bill worked for, they moved to Blanco where their two youngest daughters graduated high school. Bill was transferred again for his job, and they moved to Sealy, Texas so he could work for Coastal Ag. After Bill’s death in 1985, Tempie returned to Blanco for the remainder of her life.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was active in helping with the Sunday school classes. In the late 90’s, she retired after working at the local Radio Shack, and many years at Strickland Drug Store (now Blanco Pharmacy & Wellness). After retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, going to their school events and extracurricular activities, traveling with her daughter, son-in-law and their children, and then enjoying her great-grandchildren.
Tempie was proceeded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, her infant brother, and her older brother, Ray Boyd. She is survived by her children, son, Billy Neuman of Gonzales; daughter, Cindy Neuman Scheffel and husband Mike of Blanco; daughter, Kelly Neuman Moore and husband Dennis, Sr. of Blanco, and daughter, Rebecca Neuman Janota and husband David of Gonzales. Eight grandchildren: Josh Neuman of Hockley, Texas; Blake Petrek, Gretchen Muelker Hilt, and Garrett Muelker, all of Gonzales, Texas; Dennis “Bubba” Moore Jr and wife Aubrey of Blanco, Texas; Amanda Moore Smith and husband Michael of Blanco, Texas; Kaleigh Janota Walker and husband Micah of Mineola, Texas; Tyler Janota and wife Karli of Seguin, Texas. She also is survived by her twelve great-grandchildren: Jordyn, Ethan, Raegan, Ryleigh, Trent, Avery, Kamille, Woodrow, Blayden, Jamesley, Gracelyn, and Griffinn; and her faithful fur companion, Honey.
