Teresa Magarelli, (nee) Gadaleta, 74 of Butler, NJ passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025.
Teresa was born on October 29, 1950, in Molfetta, Italy and emigrated to the United States in 1971. She lived in Union City, Lyndhurst and Wallington before moving to Butler in 2013.
She worked at Hudson City Savings Bank in Paramus for 10 years before retiring.
Teresa was a devoted wife to her husband, Giuseppe, until his passing in 2001, and a loving mother to her daughter Rosaria and her husband Mauro Amato of Wayne, NJ, as well as her son Mauro Magarelli and his wife Barbara of Little Falls, NJ. She was also the most wonderful Nonna to her four grandchildren—Matteo Amato, Sabrina Amato, Stenia Magarelli, and Joseph Magarelli—each of whom loved her dearly and treasured every moment spent with her. Teresa loved movies and music, both old and new, cooking for her family, decorating for the holidays and spoiling her grandkids. She will be deeply missed.
She is also survived by her sister, Marta Centrone, her sisters-in-law Luisa Farallo and Anna Scardigno, as well as many nieces and nephews. Teresa was also predeceased by her parents, Giuseppe Gadaleta and Margherita (née Rutigliano).
