Not sure what to say?

So late to respond, but i just found the news while looking online (to bolster a case for old-school reporting to the current CSU president) and thought of Terry's optimism and good spirits and talent. And of his wedding to Penny, too, sharing their togetherness with friends. We had a crew of rare talent at the Collegian, back then, and Terry was a prime source of passion and determination to do our best work. I'm grateful to have known and worked with him and with Penny.

Terry had a streak of kindness that can only come from growing up in a small Colorado town. He will always be one of Leadville's finest, living forever in the history of a little community beneath Mt.Massive.

To Family of Terry Bochatey:

During my teaching and coaching career in Leadville, Terry was one of those special students you always remember. I will always be glad that I was able to visit and share the happy times with him during the past services of his Father's passing. His accomplishments made him one of Leadville's finest. Please accept my sincere condolences during this very sad time. Stan Pursley, LCHS 1962-1970.

Terry was a great classmate in High School. In the early 1970's, I would visit with his dad, he was so proud of Terry, that he was doing outstanding award winning photography in the news business. His father was also a dedicated reporter. Terry made the world a brighter place and will be missed. May God bless him and his family.

A unique character and friend in my life, memories I'll cherish forever, Rest in Peace, my friend.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.
