Terry M. Donovan Sr.

An outstanding professional, transportation engineer, and friend. It was a privilege to have known him and he will be missed.

To the family and friends of Terry Donovan, Sr., please accept my sincere sympathy and condolences.

Terry Donovan, Sr. was truly a great man and will be deeply missed. He was an engineer’s engineer. Terry was a true professional and an absolute pleasure to work with while at ARCADIS as well as with FPS. He was an excellent teacher and mentor to his staff, peers and even his supervisors. I am confident to say that he touched the hearts of most that new him and made us all...

Terry was the model civil engineer and human being. If you think of the civil engineering profession in Cleveland (and with ASCE's Transportation & Development Institute), his name has to be mentioned. He pushed me to support the the profession from almost day 1 at FPS. Something along the lines of "If you work here, you support the profession. I have any opening on the committee..." So, thanks Terry for the years of support of me and the profession! Attached is a picture from October...

To the family of Terry Donovan, please accept my sincere sympathy on your loss. It was a privilege to work with Terry on the establishment of the the ASCE Transportation and Development Institute (T&DI). I knew Terry as an outstanding professional engineer who specialized in transportation systems and as a terrific individual.

Maureen and family, we are very sorry to hear of the loss of Terry. It was always a pleasure to see Terry and have a conversation with him or to spend time with him on the golf course. He truly lived life to the fullest and will be missed. Our condolences to all.

Mary Kay and I send our deepest condolences to Mareen and the entire Donovan family. I had the great honor of working with Terry at Arcadis for a number of years. He was a fantastic engineer, leader, mentor, and friend to many in the engineering community. Terry not only made us better at our jobs, more importantly, he made us all better people for which we are all very grateful. Thank you Terry, may you rest in peace.

Terry & I got to know each other while we both worked at FPS. We continued to keep in touch and whenever I was in the Cleveland Ohio area on business we would try to get together. I always enjoyed our discussions and will truly miss them. He touched and influenced many lives and careers. My deepest sympathies to his family.
