Tevin's Obituary

With hearts heavy yet filled with love, we celebratethe life of Tevin Lamon Jones, who entered thisworld on March 29, 1994, in Suffolk, Virginia.

Born to his devoted parents, Calvin Nowell Jones,Sr., and Laurice Whitehead Savage, Tevin was thefourth of six siblings, a cherished son, brother,and friend to all who knew him.

Tevin’s journey on this earth came to a close onNovember 25, 2024, but the memories he createdwill forever remain in the hearts of those whowere blessed to share life with him.

A proud son of Suffolk, Tevin’s early education took him to Mount Zion Elementary School, John F. Kennedy Middle School, and later Lakeland HighSchool. Most recently, he worked at Ace Hardware, where his hardworking spirit and kind nature left an imprint on his coworkers and customers alike.Tevin was a man of vibrant passions. A lover of football and basketball, he cherished the games not only for the sport but for the camaraderie theybrought. Music filled his soul, and he was known for his ability to tell a joke that could light up any room. Tevin’s infectious laughter and warm personality made him the life of every gathering. He had a knack for making people feel at ease, sharing good food—especially anything with hot sauceand ranch dressing—and good times with family and friends.

Above all, Tevin took great pride in being a loving father. His children were his greatest joy, and he worked tirelessly to be the best dad, brother, uncle,and friend that he could be.

Tevin leaves behind a legacy of love and light, hismother,  Laurice (Whitehead) Savage Of Suffolk, Virginia, father, Calvin Nowell Jones Sr (Lynette) Of Newport News, Virginia, son, Noah Jonesof Suffolk, Virginia, daughter, Morgan Jones of North Carolina, three brothers, Calvin Nowell Jones, Jr, Brandon Brown, and Calvin Brown all of  Suffolk, Virginia, four sisters, Delicia Whitehead, Omika Douglas (Tony) Raven Jones, Shakirra Jones all of Suffolk Virginia, two grandmothers Carolyn Bell (Kenny) Of Suffolk Virginia and Hattie Smith Newport News, Virginia, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who will miss his laughter, warmth, and unwavering love.Though his time here was too short, the impact of Tevin’s life is immeasurable. His memory lives on in the hearts of all who were touched by his kindness, his humor, and his love. Rest peacefully, Tevin—you will forever be missed.
