Thelma "Geri" Southerland

Dear sweet Geri was our Mom's roommate for quite some time at NHC. Geri was a joy to visit her when I came to visit my Mom. Geri was always kind to the NHC staff. Geri always asked how my Mom was doing and was deeply concerned how my Mom was doing. Unfortunately ,my Mom with her condition didn't know how Geri was so concerned for her. Geri was so appreciative for what we did on our visits. Geri was a wonderful woman and I'm so glad she graced my life. Prayers to her family.

Aunt Geri was such an important part of my life. She was an amazing sister to my mother, and visiting with Aunt Geri and Uncle Henry were truly happy highlights of my childhood. Geri had a beautiful voice and filled her home with music. Her daughter Cheryl has always been like a sister to me. Cheryl took such wonderful care of her mother and father. Her selfless devotion to them will always be remembered and admired, a true reflection of the love she had for both of her parents.
