Not sure what to say?

I´m so very sorry to hear about Ted´s passing. We worked together for many years, shared many laughs. I will miss him Jay densmore

I met Pathfinder shooting muzzleloaders. He was always happy and eager to visit. A true artisan, he was generous, donating his craft items as prizes. I last saw him at the Kalamazoo Living History show this spring. As always, we had a laugh filled visit. I will miss you my brother, may we meet again someday. Lyle McGregor

I first met Ted at a muzzleloader match around nine years ago. What I remember most about Pathfinder was, that although I was new to this sport, he was very welcoming and friendly. We always had good talks. He was a very good communicator and writer, I told him he should write for a paper, or a magazine, he was that good. I had the pleasure of spending time with Ted twice this year, once at his home, I was on a motorcycle ride and stopped in for a bit, and the second at the Lapeer rendezvous....

Our sympathies to Dawn and Jayson families. We knew Pathfinder from rendezvous at Kill-um-Buck Longrifles. Ted will be missed but not forgotten he was a friend to all. Kathi, Steve, Angi, Andy and Duncan RIP brother

Prayer for family and friends, you will be missed!

My deepest sympathies for the family and friends of Ted.

Such a beautiful human being! So full of love and kindness. I'm so glad I got to visit with him in his final days. He never lost his sense of humor even though he was suffering. I'm sure he is trading stories with all his relatives in Heaven! Save a place for me Teddy! Love, Cousin Kathy {Robinson} Bate

My cousin Ted was an amazing human being. He will be missed greatly. I am so happy that I got to see him before he passed. Hugs and love from the Graham Family-Midland, MI

Theodore's Obituary

Theodore Timothy Jayson, 69 years old of Port Hope, passed away on November 13, 2023 with his “sweetheart” Dawn Getynia holding his hand. He was born on April 22, 1954 to the late Theodore Thaddeus and Elizabeth Jane (Stump) Jayson.

Teddy was an interesting character and fun to be with. He was a big man who filled the space with love, laughter and joy. He did historic muzzle loading re-enactments, built museum quality model planes, boats and cars and was a furniture refinisher by trade. He also built historically accurate black powder rifles. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

Teddy is survived by Dawn; his step-mother Adrienne (Temerowski) Jayson; sisters Virginia Dean of Canton Twp., Michigan, Karen (Cassin) Young of Maryland and Elizabeth (Tim) Rayl of Traverse City, Michigan; brothers Charles (Cheryl) Jayson of Hartland, Michigan, Michael (Wendy) Jayson of Gregory, Michigan, Brian (Gerri) McLean of Rochester, Michigan, Jeff (Michelle) McLean of Raliegh, N. Carolina; brother in law Rick Waara. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister Suzanne Elizabeth Waara.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City.

The family will have a Celebration of his Life at a later date.

Memorials may be offered in his name to Thumb Animal Shelter in Elkton, Michigan.
