Theodore "Sonny" Brenton Stotler, Jr., 84, of Brownsville, MD, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Vindobona Nursing Home in Braddock Heights, MD.Born August 30, 1929 in Towson, MD, he was the son of the late Theodore Brenton Stotler, Sr. and Mary Thelma Kelbaugh Stotler.He was of the Christian faith.Theodore was a graduate of Brunswick High School, Class of 1948. He then went to work with his father as a painter in the Brunswick area. Later he worked as a brakeman for the B&O Railroad, with over 42 years of service, retiring in 1993. He was a member of the United Transportation Union and a past member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 1582 of Brunswick, MD.He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Josephine Virginia McDonald Stotler, at home; four daughters, Mary Jo Stotler of Brownsville, MD, and children, Ashley Hazlett, Amber Carter, Alexandra Stotler and William "Walker" Dalton; Teresa Smith and husband, Richard of NC and children; Deborah Palmer of Bolivar, WV and children, and Wanda Rohrer and husband, Paul of Weverton, MD, and children, Benjamin and Bradley Rohrer. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 26, 2014, with visitation two hours prior to the service, at the Yarrowsburg Mennonite Church, 2142 Rohrersville Road, Knoxville, MD 21758, with Pastor Allen Myers officiating. Interment will be in Brownsville Heights Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Yarrowsburg Mennonite Church, at the address listed above.
